Pain Tracker ("we," "us," or "our") is a free mobile application developed by Plants Basically LLC for Juicy Joint customers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Pain Tracker app (the "App").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you consent to the practices described herein.

Important: Not a Medical Device

Pain Tracker is for personal pain tracking only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Information you log is for your own reference. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns or before changing any treatment.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Information

Email address — used for account creation via magic link / OTP authentication through Supabase.

Pain tracking data — weekly pain scores (1-10 scale), pain location/type notes, optional free-text journal entries.

Onboarding quiz responses — pain locations, pain types, prior treatments tried, supplement start date (all self-reported and optional).

Device information — device type, operating system version, app version (for debugging and push notification delivery).

Usage & Analytics Data

App usage events (e.g., quiz completion, journal entries, graph views) and push notification tokens (for sending weekly reminders via Klaviyo).

We do not collect precise location data, health data from other apps or wearables, payment or financial information, photos or camera access, or contacts and calendar data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide core App functionality (pain logging, progress graphing, weekly reminders), personalize your experience and show meaningful trends, send push notifications and email updates via Klaviyo, improve the App and develop new features, respond to customer support requests, and comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate the App:

Supabase — backend database and authentication. Data shared: email, pain scores, notes, onboarding responses.

Klaviyo — email marketing and push notifications. Data shared: email, push tokens, app usage events.

Apple (Push Notifications) — delivering push notifications. Data shared: device push token.

All third parties are bound by confidentiality agreements and are prohibited from using your data for their own marketing purposes.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure database storage (Supabase with row-level security), and authentication secrets stored in iOS Secure Enclave / Android Keystore.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your pain tracking data is stored as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App (Profile → Delete Account). Upon deletion, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where required by law. You can also request deletion by emailing info@plantsbasically.com.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, withdraw consent for data processing, and receive a portable copy of your data.

7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act):

Right to Know — request details about the personal information we collect, use, and share about you.

Right to Delete — request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.

Right to Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.

Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing — we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Right to Non-Discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any California privacy right, email info@plantsbasically.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for adults 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when the latest changes were made.
